About the Role
The Sr Materials Analyst will play a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring accurate data, and coordinating with other departments. They will report to the Materials Manager and will be responsible for maintaining relationships with customers and customer service needs. They will utilize our ERP software to maintain inventory accuracy and analyze production and inventory levels using MRP for component procurement in a lean manufacturing environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Control, coordinate and develop the internal/external supply chain
- Manages customer service portals
- Operation of daily, weekly and monthly MRPII/ERP processes
- Inventory control analysis for all finished goods, cycle counts, variance analysis and problem resolution; preparation and keying of related inventory transactions
- Physical Inventory - preparation, counting/auditing counts, variance analysis
- Other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager
Who we are looking for
Your preferred qualifications
- Self motivated with a strong understanding of materials management fundamentals required
- Ability to deliver accurate, quick and concise communications through written and verbal interactions, both internally and externally
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft based computer programs (Excel) is required
- Proficient in the use of Core MRP and inventory control functions
- 5-7 years experience in inventory/production control, purchasing or scheduling, within automotive
- Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to work overtime, as required
