Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the Supplier Quality performance metrics for Magna Lighting;
- Drive quarterly goals to meet objectives. Create and maintain Performance KPI’s;
- Manage Supplier PPAP process, including yearly re-certification and record retention;
- Ensure adherence to Policies and Procedures (Job Element Sheets, TS requirements, etc.);
- Effective, timely communication with Suppliers on issues regarding their product quality;
- Own and lead monthly Supplier Performance Reviews for poor performing Suppliers and monitor corrective actions assigned;
- Participate in continuous improvement activities for Production related to Supplier components;
- Participate in pre-launch program reviews with regards to design and specifications required;
- Monitor and drive timely closure of Supplier generated Engineering Change Requests;
- Hold accountable Supplier Quality Engineers to lead effective, timely closure of Supplier DMN's through to disposition and financial recovery;
- Participate and lead root cause analysis as required in warranty returns caused by purchased part, follow up communication with Suppliers and provide analysis of data as required;
- Hold accountable Supplier Quality Engineers to manage internal line rejections caused by purchased components through to DMN closure driving corrective actions and analyzing trends;
- Drive product improvement based on internal line rejects and returns from OEM and Warranty;
- Coordinate with divisional Quality Managers in solidifying Supplier Quality Engineers activities related to Quality of purchased components;
- Hold Supplier Quality Engineers accountable to divisional Quality Managers;
- Assist site Program Managers during Program Launch on Purchased Components Quality resolution, conducting run @ rate and ensuring Supplier on time PPAP through site Supplier Quality Engineers;
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree/ Diploma in a technical field required;
- Minimum of 5 years quality experience required preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manager/ Leader role is preferred.
- Electronics knowledge / experience is preferred

- Strong leadership skill to lead and hold accountable a team of Supplier Quality Engineers on site, and remotely in offsite divisions;
