Role Summary

Purchases supplies and production materials. Selects and manages all supplies in supply base. Provides coordination and technical support to purchasing group.

Key Responsabilities

 

General:

  • Coordination, Organization and Management of the Purchasing Department, Quality, price, and service required.
  • Design and establish the technical and administrative processes involved in the purchase of materials and products.
  • Coordinate the department to achieve the production, cost and supply quality objectives.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the annual purchasing budget.
  • Continuously control and pursue the improvement of the company's conditions, as well as the search for new suppliers.
  • Channel the delivery of technical documentation on the quality of new materials or modifications to existing ones.
  • Manage the return of defective materials.
  • Internal and external audits.

 

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • To organize workplaces according to the health and safety legal requirements and rules.

 

Information Security / IT Security:

  • Compliance to all Magna and Seating EU rules and guidelines specially with regards to Purchasing.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Cience in Economic, Business or Engineer Degree.
  • Greater than 7 years purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
  • Esperience in SAP is desirable.
  • High English level is a must (B2 minimun).
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office Tools.

  • Working understanding of APQP and other project management techniques.
