About the Role

The Quality Engineer (Cosma International) is responsible for supporting the strategies to improve Cosma quality performance using data and standardization of key processes in accordance with the Magna Charter and Cosma/Magna policies.

Your Responsibilities

•    Program Launches (selected high-risk programs)
•    Support divisions with problem solving process (selected divisions / issues) including root cause investigation, finding appropriate corrective actions, and validating effectiveness.
•    Participate in the Top Focus Reviews, collect all information prior to the meeting, follow-up on closure of any open items
•    Support Cosma’s Quality Initiatives by participating in workgroup activities and providing support for divisional implementation efforts
•    Review divisional results from IATF, MAFACT, CQI, VDA audits etc. to propose systemic corrective actions
•    Work closely with the regional leads and divisions to improve quality reporting
•    Support Global Quality Meetings and Customer Meetings and help in preparing the necessary material 
•    Support Cosma’s Read Across Process by summarizing, distributing, and training divisions in quality related best practices
•    Promote and initiate continuous improvements activities and cost reduction opportunities
•    Participate in professional development to enhance team performance when requested
•    Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements as they relate to the job function.
•    Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environmental programs (i.e., IATF 16949, ISO14001)

Who We Are Looking For

•   Bachelors degree in any engineering related field
•   Minimum 5 years work-related experience in an automotive environment    
•   Must be proficient in computer use, programs like EXCEL, Minitab, PowerBI including Statistical Techniques & methodologies
