Role Summary

The Maintenance Electrician - Plating reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is responsible for the assembly and installation of new equipment and machines. Must be able to make modifications to existing equipment and be able to investigate and rectify electrical problems. This position is for Night shift (11pm - 7am Sunday through Thursday).

Key Responsibilities

•    Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify and install any production and building equipment.
•    All work must be done to the Ontario electrical code regulations.
•    Complete preventive maintenance forms, work orders and reports daily.
•    Be on call after regular working hours when requested, work rotating shifts if required.
•    Follow Rollstamp’s lock out procedure.
•    Make recommendations for improving equipment.
•    Maintain a safe and clean workplace environment.
•    Perform all work in good standard.
•    Work in a manner consistent with the measures and procedures required by the occupational health and safety act and Rollstamp safety rules and regulations, and to use or wear the equipment, protective devices required.
•    Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.
•    Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
•    Comply with all Rollstamp HSE, IATF 16949, and ISO14001 policies and procedures.
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Must have Provincial Electrician Ticket (442A or 309D) 
•    Grade 12 education or equivalent
•    3-5 years experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment      
•    Automation Technician college diploma or dual ticket Millwright would be an asset. 
•    Must have knowledge of PLC, control systems, servo drives and ac/dc drives
•    Experience with Engel, Husky, Battlefield, Sepro, Krauss Maffei an asset
•    Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel            
•    Able to stand or walk for 8 hours, work on ladders, and lift up to 25kg    
•    Strong verbal, written and reading English comprehension skills
•    Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics as well as all technical manuals 
•    Must have strong knowledge with hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry (pumps, motors, valves, actuator theory)
•    Must have strong Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical knowledge
•    Strong knowledge of injection molding machines and processes
•    Possess strong troubleshooting skills
•    Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts when necessary
•    Able to recognize all north American symbols
•    Ability to take any circuit diagram from paper concept to final design and constructed piece of equipment     
•    Abide to Canadian Standards Association and Ontario Electrical Safety Code regulations
•    Able to use all meters and testing equipment related to the electrical department
•    Strong ability of independent troubleshooting of Ethernet based AB plc including spectra laser positioning system, and all peripherals associated, as well as device net systems.
