Key Responsibilities

 

The Battery Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in our company’s HV Battery System Development Dept. We require skilled engineers who can lead the technical development of battery projects with customers around the world.

 

  • Design battery pack system architecture, leading the technical development of battery projects

  • Calculation/design of electrical and mechanical HV switch-off devices, HV conductors (including HV connection technology), BusBar

  • Sub-component fusing strategy

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and performance targets.

  • Design and develop battery systems or sub-systems, ensuring functional, safe, and compliant solutions.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technologies, materials, and components for battery systems.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to select and qualify battery components and subsystems.

  • Create technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Technical education in Electric/Electronic Engineering or similar 
  • Minimum 2-3 years as a System/Architect Engineer within the automotive industry, previous experience in HV battery development is a strong plus
  • Understanding of circuit design (both digital and analog), embedded circuits (SoCs, etc) and power electronics
  • Experience in vehicle wiring and harnessing
  • Understanding of Systems/Requirement Engineering & Tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, MicroFocus ALM)
  • Experience 3D CAD (CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX) is a plus
  • Communicative, team-oriented and assertive personality
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Vehicle development process knowledge
  • Fluent in Italian and very good English knowledge
  • Availability for occasional business trips
  • EU citizenship or Full time Working Permit required
