Job Summary

Functional Safety Engineer (SOTIF) will be involved in all safety-related technical activities to ensure that our Hardware and Software products, as well as the processes, are compliant to ISO 26262 and ISO 21448.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze Safety Goals, Stakeholders' Safety Requirements, and SOTIF related features.
  • Perform and/or Moderate SOTIF analyses (e.g., STPA, FTA)
  • Define and Introduce SOTIF measures to reduce SOTIF related risks (e.g., System Modification – Functional Restrictions)
  • Support definition and fulfillment of the V&V strategy for FuSa & SOTIF
  • Support and/or Participate in FuSa and SOTIF assessments
  • Support Production Release evaluation regarding ISO 26262 and ISO 21448

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 4-8 years relevant product and/or technology experience regarding the responsibilities listed above in automotive electronics serial development projects

  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 with proven experience in the implementation of the standard in automotive programs

  • Solid background in systems engineering, hardware engineering or software engineering in the automotive industry, especially in the development of ADAS products

  • Excellent Knowledge in creation of Functional and Technical Safety Concepts

  • Comprehensive knowledge in SOTIF probability theory, statistics, and quantitative risk analysis using STPA, FTA, FMEA methods

  • Hands-on experience in SOTIF V&V strategies
