Die ADAS-Technologien von Magna ebnen den Weg für das autonome Fahren und tragen zu einer höheren Lebensqualität bei.

Das vollautonome Fahren rückt in greifbare Nähe. Doch um die dafür nötige Technologie entwickeln zu können, müssen komplette ADAS-Systeme oder modulare Lösungen an beliebige Fahrzeuge und Mobilitätsanforderungen angepasst werden.

Role Summary

The Program Buyer will effectively manage all assigned/awarded platform development programs through Gate 8 (3 months after SOP).  This position is the primary purchasing interface to the program team and includes all aspects of indirect and direct purchasing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures Purchasing and Supplier Quality Development work packages, during program development, are executed in the most cost effective and timely manner
  • Reports the supplier launch readiness to program management on a regular basis (coordinated with Supplier Quality Team)
  • Participates in engineering meetings, where applicable, and forwards status and open issues to applicable purchasing team members
  • Tracks the cost model for purchased components and materials per assigned platforms
  • Assists in development of the strategic supply chain with commodity team
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts for products, tools, processes and programs

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration – Required
  • Master’s degree in business or technical emphasis - Desired
  •  5+ years’ experience in Purchasing or related field within a manufacturing facility
  • Relevant experience within the automotive electronics preferred
  • Key Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) – as applicable
  • Platform Specific Requirements – as applicable
  • Review CSR via SharePoint
  • Deep and comprehensive knowledge of product development practices in the automotive field
  • Knowledge of the application and delivery of advanced electronic systems into the automotive industry
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC)
  • Willingness to perform "hands-on" work
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package
  • Fluent in PC applications for cost racking, budgeting, program management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of analysis and program management tools (i.e. document control and archiving tools, analysis tools, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of English (verbal and written)
  • For positions located in non-English speaking locations, knowledge of the local working language is an asset
  • Proficiency in German is a plus
  • Travel (domestic and international) may be needed
