Role Summary

For our greenfield division MAGNA Body & Chassis Hungary (location Vecses) we are looking for the Quality Engineer. 

The Quality Engineer drives APQP – Milestone (internal CPMP Milestones) within Customer Programs (Daimler / BMW) and reports functional to the Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to be the contact person to the customer / Consideration and translation of all customer requirements to internal APQP – documentation (internal CPMP – system)
  • Formulation / definition of Customer Interface Characteristics (CIC) and special Characteristics
  • Moderation / formulation / documentation of FMEA’s (Process / Design)
  • Formulation / definition of Control Plans, checking instructions and inspection and test records
  • Evaluation / documentation of machine- / process capability
  • Execution of internal and external PPAP’s incl. documentation
  • Formulation / definition and sourcing of requested checking equipment (checking fixtures / measurement fixtures / inline measurement system / etc.)
  • Execution / documentation of complaints in customer portal (external) and supplier portal (internal).

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or comparable education
  • Several years of experience in automotive manufacturing/engineering environment with project management responsibility (APQP)
  • Excellent knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP)
  • Excellent knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements, especially for Daimler and/or BMW
  • Preferably trained as Process Auditor according to VDA 6.3
  • Very good German or English; Hungarian language will be an advantage
  • Empathetic and team-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and stress resistance
  • High degree of self-motivation, hands-on approach and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel.
