Job Description

The Quality Manager Cosma EU is responsible for planning, conducting and monitoring audits and all related issues according to Quality Systems, IATF 16949, ISO standards and Customer Specific Requirements.

As a competent contact person, the Quality Manager Cosma EU provides advice and support to all European divisions.

 

Functions

 

  • Plans, conducts and monitors internal IATF 16949 system and VDA 6.3 process audits with the European divisions.
  • Responsible contact person for all issues concerning external system- and process audits.
  • Supports customer audits in all European divisions
  • Ensures that Quality activities are performed according to Cosma Group Standards, Magna Global Quality Standards (MQS), IATF 16949, and Customer Specific Requirements
  • Supports on Mafact-Assessments
  • Prepares necessary corrective / preventive actions, follow ups, verification and release of corrective actions at the divisions
  • Issues reports and communication to the Director Quality Cosma EU concerning the development, status and effectiveness of quality management systems in the divisions
  • Supports the Director Quality Cosma EU in monitoring the implementation of measures determined in various customer calls and audits
  • Supports CIP and Best Practice Workshops
  • Ensures all divisions in the Cosma Europe Region are competent in the usage of the relevant problem solving tools and have a timely closure of all quality concerns
  • Directs the management of critical issues, facing the customer for escalation reviews etc.
  • Mentors the divisional Quality Teams to achieve the divisional Quality Managers objectives
  • Ensures that the divisional Quality team in the Region has the necessary skill levels and technical competence to execute their roles, by development and execution of Individual Development Plans and Performance Reviews for each Quality Engineer that is part or their team.

     

Job Requirements

 

Educational/Professional Highlights

  • Several years of experience in automotive manufacturing/engineering environment with project management responsibility
  • Business-network in the automotive sector is an asset (contacts with OEMs, TIERs etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP)
  • Excellent knowledge of IATF 16949, AIAG and VDA requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements, especially of German OEMs
  • Trained as Internal (automotive) Auditor according to IATF 16949 and Process Auditor according to VDA 6.3

 

 

Graduation

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or comparable education

 

Language Skills

  • Fluent German and business English
  • any other language would be an asset

Required Skills

 

  • High degree of self-motivation, hands-on approach, ability to work independently, willingness to travel and to work overtime
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and persuasive power
  • Methodical, structured, and systematic working approach, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong technical affinity and ability to grasp (highly) complex technical issues
  • Affinity to IT applications, data mining, knowledge of Customer B2B portals, CAQ and ERP-Systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Good training, coaching, motivation and team building skills
