Regional Quality and SQA Senior Manager (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Regional Quality and Supplier Quality Area Senior Manager (m/f/d) for our European Headquarter of the Magna Mirrors Group at the earliest time possible.


Main Responsibilities


  • Supervises and supports the Quality Road Map in all divisions of Mirrors Europe
  • Improves Supplier Quality Area (SQA) of each division, especially in German plants, with focus on continuous improvement activities
  • Leads functionally plant SQA Managers to resolve and get stability on the worst performing suppliers and participates in Top Focus Supplier Meetings
  • Analyses strengths and weaknesses of the SQA organization in underperforming divisions
  • Develops action plans and supervises their execution together with SQA Manager and European Management
  • Monitors supplier quality performance regarding metrics / goals for each division and assists the plants during supplier visits for development and implementation of improvement plans and all kind of continuous improvement
  • Ensures flowless launches with focus on critical suppliers by supporting and leading SQA Managers of divisions during Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and development
  • Communicates, shares, and standardizes best practices across all plants
  • Executes Magna Factory Concept (MAFACT) Quality Assessment Audits and follows up to meet MAFACT Target Score in cooperation with divisional Quality Managers
  • Visits Mirrors divisions to support Quality Managers on developing systemic quality analysis, follows up of global Quality Road Map, implementation of Magna quality standards tools (i.e. Problem Solving A3, quality organization efficiency)

Qualifications and Competencies


  • Minimum completion of a University of Applied Sciences degree in Engineering or equivalent areas
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as Quality Manager or Supplier Quality Area Manager or similar position in automotive industry
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
  • Ability to creating proactively a good team atmosphere including capacity for teamwork by focusing on targets with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Professional skills in MS Office programs and SAP
  • Good knowledge of following techniques and methods, in particular Six Sigma, 5S, Shop Floor Management, Standardized Work, Problem Solving, Quality Core Tools (MSA, SPC, PPAP, ...)
  • Expertise in IATF / ISO / VDA quality systems
  • Fluent in English and German
