Role Summary

Radar System Architect is responsible for the architectural design of advanced driver assistance radar system control modules for different applications, like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Emergency Warning and Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, etc. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer specifications and translation into a radar platform architecture
  • Deduce sub-module specifications (antenna, HF-frontend, ECU, etc.)
  • Lead the development team from architectural concept to final radar product
  • Evaluating internal and external engineering design change requests 
  • Interface with OEMs on requirements and architectural design topics
  • Support customer presentation and transform customer requirements into radar architectures in a cross disciplinary manner (with RF designers, electronics, software, algorithms, mechanics, etc.)
  • Present and review radar architectures with all stakeholders (customers, product management, project leads)  

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent technical field
  • Minimum 5 year experience in radar development, preferably in automotive industry 
  • Familiar with different radar techniques (PMCW, FMCW, MIMO, etc.), antenna design, radar data processing, link budget calculations and frequency regulations
