Role Summary
The Validation Engineer is responsible for the development and test execution of product environmental test plans for all assigned projects. Additional responsibilities may include design and development of test systems used to execute the environmental tests
Key Responsibilities
- Develop DV /PV plan and in compliance with Magna processes and customer test standards
- Develop project test schedule, and timing plans and use to track all testing deliverables
- Manage all testing and interfaces with external laboratories to ensure all tests and their results are executed & reported properly
- Develop and release all relevant validation engineering deliverables in compliance with Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) and customer expectations
- Perform data analysis on test results and present to the development teams/ customer as required
- Design, develop, and deploy validation testers, load boxes etc. to perform environmental and/or EMC testing for various products
Key Qualification/ Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills (Master’s preferred)
- 4-8 years’ relevant experience regarding the responsibility activities for automotive electronics serial development projects
- Comprehensive experience of Automotive ADAS ECU (e.g. Radar, Lidar, Camera) Product/testing
- Comprehensive knowledge of customer environment requirements (e.g. LV124, GS 95024, GMW3172, CS-1189, CETP 00.00-E-412, etc.)
- Working knowledge of: DMM, Oscilloscope, Video Scope etc.
- Working knowledge of configuration management, and project monitoring and control techniques (preferably PTC/MKS)
- Comprehensive knowledge of English/German (speak & write)
