Your responsibilities
As Expert Power Module Manufacturing, you will be part of a project team, consisting of several very experienced engineers from the Magna Group. Based on your experience and know-how, you will hold the expert role for design, testing and validation for MPT (Magna Powertrain) power modules for 800V SiC transfer moulded half bridges.
Your tasks in detail are:
- Strengthen MPT power module development team in the field of power module design, testing and validation
- Support and consult the MPT engineering management team for team and equipment build up
- Drive design reviews and design for manufacturing reviews
- Develop the testing and validation concept
- Actively support the design team with best practice and lessons learned
- Drive and implement design improvements based on experience and expertise
- Support development and build up core know how for power module design
- Support DFMEA
- Define and taylor existing development and manufacturing processes towards power module development
Your qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Master degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in designing of high voltage power modules, ideally for automotive applications
- Solid knowledge of automotive standard requirements of power electronics
- Deep understanding of semiconductors and switching behaviour
- Experience in testing and validation of power modules
- Experience in reliability prediction and lifetime models
- Experience with failure analyses and 8D management
- Experience in serial development along the whole product life cycle
- Proven problem solving and leadership skills with experience in global collaboration
- Excellent analytic skills and fluent English
- Experience with electric drivetrain systems & components preferred

Compensation
Commitment and qualification pay off at MAGNA Powertrain: For this position we offer an annual gross starting salary from €80,000 on a full-time basis. However, the actual salary will be determined together with you on the basis of previous service, qualifications, relevant professional experience and the collective agreement of the vehicle industry.
