Role Summary

 

The Technical Lead Reprocessing runs technically the reprocessing group. He/She reports to the Stream Lead – Recording and Reprocessing and, in turn, define the architecture and the setup of the HiL farm. He/She analyzes the project requirements, creates input documents for the supplier and technical coordinate the setup.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks towards the Stream Lead Reprocessing and Recording

  • Reporting timely operational status (i.e. problems, blocking points, issues, task executions, etc.)
  • Ensuring proper timeline execution and milestone delivery
  • Preparing customer demos
  • Technical report on low level operations (suppliers, testers, etc.)

 

Tasks toward suppliers

  • Sharing architectural requirements and ensuring proper execution (output evaluation)
  • Managing CRs and bug defects
  • Managing support for different SW releases
  • Continuous technical alignment with suppliers via regular weekly meetings

Tasks toward DMR

  • Technical alignment for test run execution
  • Interface between HiL supplier and DMR
  • Interface between HiL farm and DMR

Tasks toward Reprocessing Group

  • Supervision and coordination of HiL farm set up
  • Coordination of technical activities
  • Organization of continuous flow of communications
  • Supervision of operational tasks for maintenance run of the HiL farms

Key Qualifications/Requirements

System Tool Conception

  • Acquire, develop, understand and document system tool requirements based on tool requests from internal/external customers
  • Manage and negotiate system tool requirements, change requests and unwritten expectations
  • Develop and document system tool architecture and design in an unambiguous, clear and understandable way
  • Supervise and estimate tool development for internal and external implementation
  • Develop design documents like requirement specifications, test specifications, architectures, etc.

System Tool Development & Support

  • Manage tool projects by comparing of plan (schedule) vs. progress
  • Manage the development and extension of tools, troubleshooting and fix tool defects based on ALM tickets (Tasks, Change Request or Defect items)
  • Supervise the creation of tool documentation for user (e.g. User Manuals, Troubleshooting Guides, and Installation Guides etc.)
  • Arrange and supervise the execution of tests and review for tool releases and documentation ensuring that the system tool performs per requirements.
  • Support of internal and external customer by delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting and improvements of implemented tools.
  • Supervise/Execute tool integration into the functional performance tool chain

Operation coordination

  • Definition with supplier of data format, tools and procedures to be followed during the course the of the project
  • Coordination of reprocessing Farm bring up and maintenance
  • Coordination of troubleshooting sessions to ensure the operational work of tools
  • Coordination with partners and internal departments (i.e. data collection, DMR and testing) HIL Farm updates

Additional Information

Education/Experience –Level 2

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
  • 4+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) for automotive electronics serial development projects (mandatory).
  • 2+ years’ experience in technical leading of HIL bench farms especially in automotive customer context 

 

Technical Skills

  • Technical Management
  • Knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel) and MS Project
  • Knowledge of main automotive communication standards (i.e. CAN, FlexRay, SPI, etc…)
  • Requirements management, decomposition planning and reporting
  • Test plan development
  • Knowledge for ADAS systems
  • Advanced knowledge in HIL procedures and equipment
  • ALM tools (PTC Integrity)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Good English and German essential
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team of Test Engineers
