Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team comprised of technical leaders and engineers with a focus on software integration, automation and devOps in the automotive area.
  • Engaging cross-functionally with other parts of the organization to develop & establish software integration, automation of software deployment strategy/concepts.
  • Be at the fore-front and support the development and test teams in troubleshooting of automation pipelines, increase stability and maintain the automation environment
  • Review existing automation, investigate tool, identify opportunities fo improve overall productivity to make us more efficient in build/ release management.
  • Recruit world-class talent and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Work closely with top management and other departments to define strategy, budgets etc. and execute long-term business roadmaps.
  • Coordinating with engineering, purchasing and legal to define and execute technology development with key partners & suppliers.
  • Anticipate project bottlenecks and then facilitate by working with various stakeholders to proactively alleviate such bottlenecks.
  • Travel to customer workshops or to other Magna sites.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Very Strong SW Integration and sw deployment knowledge. Eg. CI, CD, CI tools (GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc)
  • Strong experience in conceptualizing and deploying CI/automation strategies at organizational level.
  • Experience in people management and in building of high performing distributed teams.
  • Experience supporting an engineering organization through technical leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management, salary reviews etc.
  • Leadership and interpersonal communication experience in working across many disciplines, drive Automotive best practices, and mentor team members.
  • Have a proactive and collaborative attitude towards work and colleagues.
  • Very good English language skills. German language skills are a plus.
