Toolmaker (MAGNA Body & Chassis Hungary)

Role Summary

For our new division Magna Body & Chassis Hungary (location Vecses) we are looking for the Toolmaker. In this role, you are responsible for qualified repair of production equipment for the division in Hungary. 

Key Responsibilities

•  Ensure the serviceable condition and reliable operation of serviced dies, their correct operation, timely high-quality repairs and modernization in accordance with drawings / sketches and engineering change schemes.

•  Take a part in preparation of dies for production, carry out work on scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment.

•  Learn and use various types of measuring, calibration or test equipment necessary for repair work.

•  Detect and ensure the elimination of defects made by production line workers, inform site manager about them, prevent breakdowns of stamping equipment due to incorrect settings of press equipment.

•  Performing crane work using various crane equipment (located at the location of the tool platform)

•  Identify and ensure the elimination of defects made by employees of production lines, inform the head of site shift about them.

•  Maintenance of technical documentation, filling out applications of equipment after repair or other work.  

•  Participate in the preparation and launch of new products.

•  Participate in the training of newly recruited personnel in need of advanced training.

•  Analyze the causes of malfunctions, breakdowns of dies and participate in the investigation of their causes, as well as the causes of industrial injuries, take measures to prevent it.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•  Technical secondary education.

•  Work experience of at least 3 years as a toolmaker.

•  PC user (Microsoft Office, 2D - 3D programs)

•  Must know main technical characteristics and design features, the purpose and use of dies, die design, rules for their operation.

•  Must have a basic technique of repair and maintenance of dies.

•  The main technical characteristics of technological equipment, tooling, as well as lifting equipment in operation of the stamping production.

•  Main technical requirements for materials used in process of repair and maintenance of tooling.
