Senior Analyst, SAP PP/QM

Job Introduction

This position is responsible to ensure and maintain a high level of support corresponding to the team leads in all activities of the department and ensure active participation in the daily business of his/her functional responsibilities. Need an analytical, well-educated, knowledgeable, experienced, and motivated team-player with strong IT background, work ethic and integrity that will become a key part of IT-SAP Team to implement and provide adequate support for MM/PP/WM/QM/PM modules to SAP users across locations of North and South America region. Suggest and implement improvements for MM/PP/WM/QM/PM processes using SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA. Need to provide training to users if needed or requested. This role uses business knowledge, IT background, SAP concepts and good communication skills.

Major Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and gaps not met by the existing systems / implementations
• Identify feasible solutions within SAP framework and estimate effort needed to meet those business requirements and gaps
• Implement solutions using SAP configuration, master data setup or code and support roll-out projects
• Provide day-to-day SAP end-user support
• Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge
• Complete other duties as required by the Manager from time to time
• Effectively uses teamwork to positively contribute to a high morale/high-performance team culture, consulting attitude and strong personal integrity
• He/she ensures global support
• Provide support in the creation of query reports/programs, barcode solutions, educational sessions, general consulting and project managers if requested.
• Perform a complete, detailed needs analysis evaluating available applications and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing systems
• Assist in system-related issues of manufacturing information processes/procedures
• Assist in the coordination and collaboration of external consultants (Customer & Suppliers) as well as internal team members
• Consult where requested for research and implementation assistance in regards to new modules, features or interfaced/integrated new products
• Assist in generating task procedures for I.T administration
• Time tracking and documentation according to Magna Global IT standards
• Support roll-out projects
• Ensures billing of his/her projects and changes
• Design practical, creative, conceptual technical solutions for business requirements balancing appropriate technology, cost and implementation timeline
• Develop and adhere to standards for design, coding, testing, change control, code deployment, software controls, configuration management, continuous integration, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of application problems

Skills and Competencies

• Able to configure and support in PP/QM modules in SAP
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload
• Previous experience in SAP implementation and development of SAP configurations is preferred
• Able to collaborate with users, and have a strong desire to excel
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, good inter-personal skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred
• Monitor and test all SAP MM/PP/WM/SD/PS/QM/PM processes to insure solutions are not impacted by other module when upgrades and support patches get implemented or if the process changes in any other module
• Review and work up development requests & specs for ABAP programmers to develop customized functionality or reports to meet business requirements
• Experience in project management with technical competence in SAP

• Analytical and flexible approaches in the projects and coordination of available resources
• High external and internal service orientation, initiative, creativity, diligence, accuracy and social skills
• Excellent performance and organizational skills

Knowledge, Education and Work Experience

• Completion college diploma/certificate
• A minimum of 8 years working as a business analyst, systems analyst, systems training, systems design, technical support, or applications programming
• Involved in designing and configuring SAP finance solution on SAP S/4HANA platforms
• Experience in Automotive Industry is desirable

Work Environment

Regular travel 10-25% of the time.
