Role Summary

This position contributes to team success by leading the strategy, design, development, and delivery of Total Rewards Programs, including Cash Compensation, PTU, Regional Salary Survey, Benefits Plan, Harmonization of Benefits etc. for Magna Mexico which are aligned with Magna International's global total compensation programs, philosophy, and policies.

Key Responsibilities

    Job Catalog and Grading System
-    Lead job evaluation processes and job matching to ensure appropriate and compliant job classification.
-    Implement and maintain appropriate salary structures to align and support Magna Global Job Catalogue.
-    Coordinate the continuous improvement of Global Job Catalogue
    Total Rewards Plan Design and Management
-    Develop Mexico total compensation strategy to ensure Magna compensation and benefits programs are competitive in attracting, developing, and retaining key talents under the principle of global total compensation philosophy and company values.
-    Develop total compensation communication strategy to convey linkage to the company values and business objective, enhance competitive positioning, ensure managers and employees understanding and maximize total compensation value.
-    Act as a champion and subject matter expert by partnering with business clients and HRBP team in the design of rewards programs and ensure market competitiveness and compliance with local regulations.
-    Ensure annual C&B process such as annual compensation planning, total compensation survey, PTU, wellness, EFAP, run flawlessly, and actively improve the efficiency and effectiveness.
-    Assists business clients in the development of business case, return on investment, and measures effectiveness of total compensation programs.
-    Researching and analyzing the level and effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs, continuously optimize these programs. 
-    Develop creative non-financial rewards such as work-life balance plan and recognition programs to drive employee engagement and retain talents.
    Vendor Management
-    Partner with external compensation & benefit companies to obtain annual salary information and ensure appropriate country salary structures are in place throughout the Mexico region.
-    Manage vendor relationships to ensure agreed upon fee and service agreements are met or exceeded and service issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
-    Negotiate contracts with vendors as required. 
-    Work with Brokers as liaison with Mexican divisions to obtain information as needed to assure continual benefit coverage.
    Others
-    Assist the implementation of HR systems.
-    Develop, standardize, and promote C&B tools and template to increase efficiency.
-    This position requires you to reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information management. In the future, if necessary, you need to sign a relevant "commitment letters" of personal information protection.


 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge and Education 

-    Preferable majoring in Human Resources

-    Education: Bachelor and above


Work Experience    

-    Senior Professional with certain expertise within Total Compensation function 7+ years as common
-    Previous experience in a HR/Compensation consulting firm (Mercer or WTW) advisory role would be preferred

Managerial Experience  

 -    Require min 5 years lead Project/ Lead professionals.
