Role Summary

This position is accountable for playing a role in maintaining, servicing and supporting Magna’s payroll (HR-Link), recruitment and learning platforms (PeopleNet+), and HR (Workday) solution in Asia Pacific. This role requires gathering of requirements, solving issues, developing and executing new enhancements, and working on HR System projects.

Key Responsibilities

•    Provides HR system subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development, testing and other troubleshooting support
•    Assists with ongoing continuous improvement of system effectiveness and the timely resolution of problems 
•    Assist with global reporting, metrics and analysis, including consolidation of data from different sources
•    Maintains training and communication material, may participate in delivery of training
•    Develops and drives innovative and proactive change efforts for HR process improvements, including enhancements to end user experience
•    Liaise with HR, Payroll, vendors and external consultants
•    Supports HR users with completing processes as required
•    Participates in deployment of system changes, including process changes, identifying gaps, recommending changes, defining requirements, configuring, testing and validating changes
•    Assists with analysis of impacts of new functionality, testing of integrations and cross functional up and downstream analysis
•    Administers user access for some HR systems
•    Assists with auditing system data, and notifying responsible persons of discrepancies and/or errors to improve data integrity
•    Assists with ongoing communication to end users regarding system updates/releases, as well as new functionality
•    Assist with coordination and possible delivery of end user training
•    Assist with creation and updating of training materials, as required
•    Liaise with external vendors to escalate system issues
•    Other duties are required

Knowledge and Education

Complete of University Degree

Work Experience

3 to 5 Years of Work Related Experience

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    2-5 year’s relevant HR functional experience
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•    Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation
•    Excellent collaborator and a team player
•    Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects 
•    Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
•    Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information 
•    Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
•    Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities 
•    Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Focus on quality and customer service  
•    Experience with HR systems is strongly preferred


Working Conditions and Environment

Office environment
Ability to work across multiple time zones, as required by the global nature of this role


10-25% Regular Overnight Travel
