Role Summary

 

We are searching for 2nd shift operators for our plant in Spartanburg, SC USA to perform the duties described below.

The normal schedule time is 3:20pm-12:00am, Monday-Friday; however, the current schedule is 3:50pm-2:00am, Monday-Friday and 2:30pm-11:00pm Saturdays until further notice.

Must be able to lift heavy parts (up to 40lbs) and move them from station to station throughout shift.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Operate machines in a safe manner to meet production goals.
  • Read and follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Report any deviations immediately.
  • Observe operation of machines and verify conformance of work piece to specifications and dimensions as well as visually inspect parts for non-conformance.
  • Trains other employees as needed.
Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.
  • Knowledge of production assembly line processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of metals is a plus.
Additional Information

 

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and safety shoes with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
  • Ability to work overtime in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day. 
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
  • Ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. 
  • Ability to perform sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours. 
  • Good vision at a close distance is required
