Assistant Controller

Assists in directing financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provides support to controller. 
  2. Prepares financial reports.
  3. Ensures timely and accurate monthly financial reports. 
  4. Performs regular analysis of book and ledgers to ensure accuracy.
  5. Participates in capital process to ensure proper evaluation and presentation of capital needs and compliance with approved budget.
  6. Oversees end-of-year change over.
  7. Maintains program analysis.
  8. Prepares audit schedules and support.
  9. Assists with budget preparation.
  10. Maintains fixed assets.
  11. Complies composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
  12. Responsible for monthly closing of financial books.
  13. Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts.

  1. Demonstrate strong written and verbal skills in order to prepare reports and communicate with customers.
  2. Possess strong organizational and project management skills in order to provide necessary resources.
  3. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
  4. Advanced skills in use of computer software related to ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
Additional Information


  1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.), in Accounting from four-year accredited college or university
  2. Six to ten years accounting experience preferred.
  3. Demonstrated leadership/managerial experience.
  4. Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
