Role Summary

 

We are searching for a Logistics Planner for our plant in Spartanburg, SC USA to perform the duties described below.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Calculation of logistic relevant costs
  • Plan, optimization and design of logistics processes
  • Analysis of logistic costs and optimization
  • Participation of project meetings
  • Maintain established safety stock levels on components as well as finished goods.
  • Communicate with venders and other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Support and track design changes until first shipment to customer.
  • Design and order of packaging
  • Supplier meetings according to logistic requirements and packaging
  • Create, change and training of work instructions and processes
  • Calculation and implementation of change requests
  • Value stream analysis
Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience as a Materials Planner and/or Production Scheduler or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of metal components is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Products (Operating Systems & Office).
  • Experience with ERP-Systems (preferably SAP).
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience planning materials in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to interact well with others in a selfless manner. Need to be able to work well in a team.
  • Must be an excellent self-motivator and manage time as well as priorities independently.
  • Needs to be able to work under time constraints with a quick response time under pressure.
  • Experience with value stream mapping
