Role Summary

 

We are searching for a Quality Inspector for our plant in Spartanburg, SC USA to perform the described duties below.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Examine manufactured automotive parts to ensure the parts meet all standards of presentation and quality.
  • Sample and inspect in-process product and finished goods. Record data accurately.
  • Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production as necessary.
  • Trains other employees as needed.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment.
  • Responsible for 5S within the plant and daily housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the company.
Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role, minimum 1 year
  • Attention to detail to determining possible causes for defects
  • Needs to have effective communications skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
Additional Information

 

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and safety shoes with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
  • Ability to work overtime in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day. 
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
  • Ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. 
  • Ability to perform sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours. 
  • Good vision at a close distance is required.
