About the Role
Under the direction of the Roll Forming manager, the Roll Form Tooling Supervisor is responsible to ensure that the Roll Form Tool Room / Tooling Department is aligned to the production requirements ensuring the least amount of machine downtime is achieved. The responsible candidate needs to champion; The preventive maintenance process, upkeep of all roll form lines, and to keep up with MAGNA standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and fix problems on equipment and support other team members.
- Optimize and create Preventive Maintenance of dies and Roll Form Equipment.
- Maintain program database and Back-up of machines.
- Perform repairs on mechanical components such as guides, spindles, gears, belts, etc.
- Participate in continual improvement of quality methods, equipment performance, and product quality
- Assist in training of associates.
- Focus on zero defects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Study and implement any ECR & ICR that may derive from Engineering.
- Run tooling tryouts at the request of Engineering for new programs.
Who we are looking for
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 Years as a Tool and Die Maker
- 5 Years of Roll Forming Experience Preferred.
- Quality Control and SPC knowledge
- Able to run all manual milling machines.
- Knowledge of Roll Forming systems preferred but not necessary.
- Able to set up Dies in presses.
Your preferred qualifications
- Quality control and SPC knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand Tool and Die prints.
- Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
- Able to use Precision Measurement tools.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Able to use Computer and CAD software preferred.
