Role Summary
Support teams with organizational, structural, administrative activities, facilitate workshops and follow-up on action items to support the organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain SWI’s on floor and update SWI’s based on Kaizens and maintain on floor (Document Control)
- Follow up with engineering on progress of SWI documentation
- Serve as a backup for the planner and customer service
- Press set-up sheets are scanned in and organized in proper folder
- Scan in white boards and organize in proper folder
- Follow up on Continuous Improvements and Corrective Actions list with other departments
- Follow up on LPA mitigations
- Input production plan into Power App/Funnel Cloud to allow for proper OEE calculations
- Follow up on Mafact action items and develop evidence folder
- Follow up with owners on Fast Response board maintenance and deviation tracker
- 5S workshops in work cells and tracking of findings
- Follow up from operations and fast response for A3 and Kaizen documents
- Internal audit A3’s, scrap A3’s, and LPA A3’s and implementation of continuous improvements
- Employee suggestions implementation and systemization of continuous improvements
- Hilo safety checklist management and follow up corrective actions
- Update and maintain KMI charts
- Preparation of operational review material
- Mishit A3’s and follow up on corrective actions
- Changeover time tracking/KMI and follow up on improvements to be implemented
- Ensures safety and environmental processes and procedures are followed when ordering items.
- Facilitate supplier and contractor orientations and act as host when needed.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities, submits cost saving improvement suggestions, CIP’s.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables while treating team members with dignity and respect and in accordance with the Magna Employee’s Charter and Common Values.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including IATF16949, ISO14001 (EMS), and Employee Handbook.
- Follows MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies, including wearing required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Complies with the designated ISO / 14001 responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with MPT’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Education and/or Experience
Minimum five (5) years of administrative support in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to develop documentation, reports and presentations at a high level of professionalism for internal and external communication. Ability to work in fast paced environment. Able to manage multiple projects at a time. Must have experience with lean manufacturing practices. Skilled in problem Solving. Strong administrative skills. Teamwork and strong organizational skills required. Must possess the ability to pay attention to detail, ability to ensure data is precise.
Skills and Abilities
Language Skills: Requires extensive tact and communication skills (verbal and written) for direct customer communication. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate basic math, understanding of decimals, ability to add, subtract and multiply.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use problem solving when presented with problems or duties that do not have immediate answers or results.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be at an advanced level, having in depth knowledge and experience with CMS Microsoft Office including Excel. Prior experience utilizing AS400 Database software and ability to create spreadsheets.
Communication Skills: Ability to use active listening and assertive communication when needed. Ability to give positive and negative feedback effectively.
Problem Solving Skills: Understands and can apply 5 Why mythology, Skillful in analysis of problems, research to identify root causes and find solutions, creativity to find robust and effective solutions to problems. Able to make decisions based on available information.
