About the Role

Magna Seating Chemical Technologies is a Manufacturing/R&D division in Swanton, Ohio that specializes in Polyurethane development and Chemical Blending for automotive applications.
This role is responsible to setup, operate, maintain and trouble shoot Production and R&D equipment/tools for the manufacturing of Polyurethane prototypes and Production chemical systems.  

Your Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain various Polyurethane equipment and instruments for Prototype and limited Production parts
• Trouble shoot prototype issues and minor equipment repairs
• Work with team to communicate/implement continuous improvements for equipment, process and tooling
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of R&D and Facility equipment
• Daily/Weekly checks on Foam equipment operation and parameters with moderate computer use
• Manage non-complex Preventative Maintenance Program and perform basic activities
• Participate in energy reduction initiatives
• Hands on with Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose process problems, replace parts as required, test and make adjustments
• Infrequent use of lifting devices and Forklift to move equipment/tools/material
• Ensure conformance to Health and Safety Standards
• Other duties as assigned
