Role Summary

The Toolroom Support Operator will be supporting Team Leaders with die cleaning, flushing and movement in line with departmental priorities.

Note: 37.5 working hours. 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday

Working Environment:

Plant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment. Full Health and Safety training and PPE provided for all conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The role entails but is not limited to:-

  • Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant.
  • Check back up die status daily ensuring HPD are on pre-heat
  • Die movement in line with set priorities
  • General housekeeping/5s duties
  • Ensuring HPD tooling is flushed and cleaned using equipment supplied
  • Assisting the team leader with the storing of tooling spare parts
  • Loading / unloading of HGV tooling deliveries
  • Any additional duties deemed appropriate for the role

Experience

Essential

  • Overhead crane operation
  • FLT experience

Desirable

  • Previous foundry experience
  • B(5)/C(4) grade GCSE Maths and English
