Innovation Ventures Intern - Summer 2023

Role Summary

This position would support the office of Magna Innovation Ventures in the activity of finding, monitoring, researching and potentially investing in startup companies related to the future of the automotive industry. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Researching Startup companies and corresponding technologies globally
•    Advanced research prior to an event or conference on attendees, companies of interest, etc. 
•    Organizing historical database on startup pipeline
•    Researching Venture Capital firms globally and creating a database
•    Organizing file structure for investment portfolio and pipeline
•    Support for LinkedIn outreach and brand awareness
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Legitimate interest in new technology areas and the ability to research and learn independently
•    Massively intellectually curious 
•    Organized
•    Both a technical (hardware or software) and finance background is ideal – strong in one is required
•    Junior or Senior University student
•    Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
•    Strong written and verbal Professional Communication skills

Additional Information

•   Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
