Role Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair & installations of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights and wiring.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Work on other electrical projects as required.
  • Perform infared imaging of all electrical panels as reqiured.
  • Record all information in plant PM software as reqiured.
  • Assist electrical technician in root-causing equipment electrical issues.
  • Responsible for all ESA CSSP programs, permits, ensuring compliance with all codes and standards.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Must have a valid 309A license. Preferred 3-5 years experience in field or equivalent.  Must be able to discern colors and shades.  Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.  Ability to bend,climb, squat, reach, kneel and are able to work off of lifting platforms.  Working knowledge of electrical theory and the associated principles, materials and equipment.
