What you can expect

In this position as a hardware test engineer, you will work in a dedicated team that tests electronic hardware for future electric and hybrid vehicles. Due to your conscientious way of working, you will an important interface role in the organization, coordination and implementation as well as automation of test procedures. You are the link between external testing institutes and the internal the internal development department and always keep an eye on the various test requirements. After an appropriate induction period, you will be responsible for the following tasks, among others:

  • Hardware test of inverters for electric traction drives (voltages < 1000V; currents < 600A)
  • Creation of test plans, taking into account customer and standard requirements
  • Creation and coordination of test specifications with internal and external partners in accordance with standards and provided requirements
  • Development of test setups and test adapters from PCB level through to complete inverters
  • Adaptation of DUT for various test series (electrical and mechanical tests)
  • Testing and checking electronic circuits and their implementation in circuit diagrams and layouts
  • Carrying out functiongroup tests and inverter tests
  • Automation of test sequences on PowerHiL or functiongroup test racks
  • Organization and coordination of external testing institutes
  • Support for our manufacturing partners worldwide
  • Handling of test equipment
  • Documentation, analysis and reporting of results in Word and PTC Integrity
  • Work in an international team

What you bring along

  • Understanding of automotive engineering requirements
  • Calculation and simulation of electronic circuits
  • Experience with initial commissioning of prototypes and test setups
  • Experience with Python, PTC, Matlab, PSPICE an advantage
  • Solution-oriented & team-oriented personality
  • Practical handling of tools and measuring equipment
  • Very good knowledge of German and English

Salary:  
For this function, we offer an attractive compensation package that matches your individual experience and qualifications. The gross monthly salary corresponding to the metal collective agreement for 38.5 hours is at least 54.000 € (p.a.). Overpayment is possible according to your experience and educational background.
