Your responsibilities

As an experienced PCB/PCB-A Design Expert, you will be closely involved in the development of new mobility concepts for the future in the innovative Electrification division. As an important part of the team of experts, you are not only responsible for creating complex multilayer PCB layouts, you are also a key driver for the optimization of PCB/PCB-A design and an important point of contact for colleagues from other departments, customers, production and suppliers.

 

Your exciting main tasks will therefore include 

  • Design optimization PCBA with regard to costs, installation space and production 
  • Leading design to cost workshops & layout design reviews 
  • Assessment/creation of complex multilayer PCB layouts, taking into account the design, process and EMC requirements as well as the applicable guidelines (e.g. IPC) 
  • Component creation and maintenance of the associated database 
  • Simulation of PCB design properties (e.g. signal and power integrity) 
  • Creation of production documents, the associated documentation and the requirements for the supplier/production 
  • Close cooperation with electronics developers, designers, suppliers and production 
  • Analysis and evaluation of customer requirements, internal and external coordination 
  • Investigation and introduction of new design solutions/technologies 
  • Training and coaching

Your qualifications

  • Successfully completed university studies in the field of electronics, electrical engineering or similar. 
  • Up to ten years of professional experience in PCB/PCB-A production/design (layout, PCB technology and assembly, processes, etc.) 
  • Understanding of cost drivers in PCBA design & production
  • Experience with PCBA painting processes required
  • Knowledge of EMC-compliant design, signal and power integrity 
  • Automotive experience desired
  • Familiarity with relevant PCB design standards and guidelines 
  • Functional understanding of complex systems consisting of mechanics, electronics and software 
  • Knowledge of Altium Designer an advantage 
  • Conscientious, precise and independent way of working 
  • Experience in the automotive sector desirable 
  • Very good written and spoken English skills - German would be a plus

Compensation
Commitment and qualification pay off at MAGNA Powertrain: For this position we offer an annual gross starting salary from € 77,000 on a full-time basis. However, the actual salary will be determined together with you on the basis of previous service, qualifications, relevant professional experience and the collective agreement of the vehicle industry.
