Role Summary

•    Magna’s ADAS technologies are shaping an autonomous future and improving lives.
•    The ADAS intern/Co-op supports the ADAS team by integrating, developing, testing and debugging the ADAS algorithms such as ACC, AEB, Lane Centering, Lane Keep Assist etc.
 

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop building blocks for ADAS features/algorithms
•    Integrate new or modified Simulink models into the MATLAB and/or CarMaker test environment
•    Create or modify test cases based on the requirements to cover the new or modified functionalities
•    Debug issues found and root cause them
•    Report and document issues; Propose correction to issue reported
•    Perform systems testing of products on bench and in vehicles making sure the product functions and performs as the customer expects per requirements.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Coursework or industry experience in vehicle dynamics OR control systems OR ADAS/Automated vehicles, is a must
•    Coursework or project with vehicle simulation/testing
•    Knowledge of ADAS features
•    Working knowledge in structured engineering approach
•    Troubleshooting and debugging skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
•    Enrolled in a Masters or PhD degree program in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Automotive Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalent
 

Additional Information

•    Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow
•    Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
•    Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) 
•    Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
•    Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
