Role Summary

Magna is looking for Business Analyst/Data Analyst to support their data initiatives which will modernize their environment and set them up for future opportunities in the data space and visualization space. We are looking for a passionate individual who is self-learner , has good communication skills and inclination for data visualization and BI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and transform raw data from various sources into actionable insights. Apply statistical methods, data visualization techniques, and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Reporting: Create informative and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop analytical solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize processes and enhance business performance.
  • Business Insights: Analyzing and evaluating business process, and through data driven insights proposing and implementing business process improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in data manipulation using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and SQL. Comfortably work with large datasets and apply appropriate data analysis techniques.
  • Collaboration: Participating in the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from kick-off, requirements, design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance to produce comprehensive, usable dataset documentation and metadata.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience required OR Masters in Data Analytics.
  • Solid experience with:
    • Power BI or Quick Sights or Tableau
    • SQL
    • SSRS, SSMS
    • Data Visualization
    • Python
    • Microsoft Visio or Figma
  • Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data sets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to document steps in a process and make technology recommendations to improve process.
  • Data and business analysis background.
  • Experience with user-defined workflows.
  • Problem solver that is action-oriented with the ability to look at problems in new ways.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to design an effective solution.
  • Ability to support multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicational skills, organizational skills, negotiation skills, and flexibility to address competing demands.
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to explain Production / technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.
  • Superior business judgement – ability to flex between big picture thinking, understand and distill complex ideas, and analyze data to drive strategic objectives.

Additional Information

Regular travel less than 5% of the time.
