CAE Structures Intern - Summer 2021

Position Overview:

• Structural CAE Summer Intern for 2021

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist CAE Structural analysts with various administrative tasks
• Work with CAE Structural Analyst to review and update Meshing and Modeling guidelines for various commodities (Liftgate, Active Grille and Running board Systems, Front End Modulus and Exterior Trims).
• Update/Develop existing CAE workflows for Structural Optimization.
• Assisting in analysis correlation efforts and supporting physical testing.

Qualifications:

• Organizing data and good analytical skills.
• Good understanding of Mechanics of Plastics Materials.
• Understanding of numerical methods for Finite Element Methods.

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University (Plastics and Optimization Studies a plus)

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
