Engineering Intern - Summer 2021

Position Overview:

The Engineering Intern provides engineering support to the Design, Engineering and Business Metrics groups in the pursuit of increasing process efficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create, coordinate and provide input to internal and external Design, Engineering and Business Metrics presentations
• Support activities as they relate to maintenance and troubleshooting of our CAD Product Data Manager (PDM)
• Support activities as they relate to data migration into engineering business tools & databases such as Materials Library, Rules Specifications Library, Critical Design Review Assessment Library, Release Tracker, etc.
• Assist in the coordination and development of dashboards from internal database mining using Microsoft PowerBI and PowerApps
• Assist with SharePoint updates to internal Magna Exteriors website, including maintaining training presentations and videos
• Support production engineering program activities as required

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
