Position Overview:
This position reports directly to the Group Environmental Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Job Duties:

- To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.
Specific Job Duties:
- To follow safety rules of Magna and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.
- Assist Group Environmental Manager in managing environmental activities.
- Provide troubleshooting input as required and assist in the analysis of data and providing environmental training to Magna team members.
- Support and lead in generation of department standards and implementation of Sustainability processes.
- Support in maintaining and updating Environmental Department forms and documents.
- Coordinate environmental initiatives with Magna divisions as needed.
- Responsible for special projects assigned by the Group Environmental Manager.
- Support inspections, audits, and hazardous material shipping activities at the Divisions.
- Support environmental report documentation and submission.
- Perform environmental calculations for compliance determination and trouble-shooting.
- Generate progress reports and presentations for action items and special projects.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Must be able to travel to Magna Exterior North American Divisions
Education / Experience:
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies / Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
