We are looking for a talented Manager who has a demonstrated track record leading a dynamic team looking to push boundaries, innovate, and is passionate about being a part of the transformation from traditional powertrains to eMobility.

The Manager of Electrification Application Engineering leads, directs and provides oversight for and defines the strategy of the electrification product engineering group based in the Troy office, under the direction of the eDS organization. They are accountable for building, establishing, and developing the team members for the North American electrification team. They will lead the communication and represent the Troy site in the organization. During the initial establishment of this team, the manager will also serve as the acting Project Manager for the group.


Support Acquisition and eConcept / eQuote Phase
Support Acquisition of new customer projects according to internal processes and guidelines 

  • Participate in eConcept definition and eConcept Review Meetings
  • Coordinate Requirements Management during Acquisition Phase in close cooperation with Lead System Architect and the Requirement Manager in accordance to the established  internal processes and guidelines.
  • Lead eQuote Team and generate eQuotes (based on provided System Concepts).
  • Consider risk items which have been identified in eConcept into eQuote in cooperation with the Risk Manager.
  • Consider System Supplier Development Cost in eQuote (or point out clearly if they are not available/included).
  • Support Sales and Program Management during quote phase and contract negotiations


Lead Engineering Team
Promote, encourage, and facilitate a professional, collaborative project culture.

  • Drive continuous organization management and documentation of eTeams (high flexibility and opportunity for decision-making).
  • Ensure the team receives and correctly interprets the defined work packages and targets, and continuously tracks and updates target achievement.
  • Lead the team to ensure the successful coordination and execution of the project scope.
  • Represent the engineering team throughout the organization, including but not limited to topics with eDS Product Engineering, Program Management, Internal/External Customers, and Suppliers.
  • Work closely with the eDS team to develop the North American strategy. 


Perform Project Manager, Integration duties/responsibilities and achieve agreed targets
Serve as the acting Project Manager, Integration according to role description “Project Manager Integration” as well as internal and external processes and guidelines, and standards as applicable.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience; extensive experience with complex systems strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with electrified products, trends, and/or eDS product strategy strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with a minimum of 2 years of experience leading and developing a team of engineers required.
  • Proven ability to interface with cross functional team members, senior leadership, and within customers and supplier organizations.
