About the Role

Reporting directly into the office of the CEO, the Manager, Strategic Analysis will provide comprehensive analytical insight and strategic development support for executive leadership within Magna International and its business units. The candidate will work to increase overall effectiveness and support resolving complex issues creatively and effectively. Through strategic and proactive thinking, this team member is responsible for prioritizing competing demands and aligning workflows against broader organizational priorities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Produce analytical materials for decision-making, including presentations to Executives and the Board of Directors.
  • Support strategic development initiatives for Magna International, its business units and the CEO’s office as assigned.
  • Conduct financial benchmarking and internal valuation analysis.
  • Perform company and industry analyses to support strategy as needed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, advise on strategic initiatives, and stay apprised of current technical/operational issues to enable sound executive decision-making.  
  • Execute required initiatives by understanding the organization’s complexity, business processes and maximizing the use of resources in an efficient and effective way.
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with leadership and provide high-level recommendations and increase collaboration between various departments and work streams.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Engineering
  • Advanced specialization in respective field (Finance, Engineering)            
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity or Management Consulting
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 10% of the time

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent ability to perform financial and valuation analysis
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills, including task prioritization and attention to deadlines
  • Keen ability to problem-solve and anticipate and/or avert arising challenges 
  • Ability to manage a process from idea generation through execution 
  • Ability to analyze, rationalize and simplify complex situations and communicate results and recommendations
