Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer supports engineering efforts by providing skills and knowledge for optimization of the organization in areas such as materials, machinery, methodologies, measurements and processes.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  • Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
  • Assist across the organization with functions related to manufacturing and production.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Complete planning, developing and executing change initiatives across the organization.
  • Perform change assessment to determine feasibility of implementation.
  • Implement change management strategy and method to deliver sustainable results.
  • Provide information and assistance to business units in executing the change initiatives.
  • Act as primary contact to address any issues and queries on change management activities.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and system.
  • Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process and quality systems.
  • Initiates, recommends or provides solutions through designated channels.
  • Verifies the implementation of solutions (quality systems).
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 2-6 years of diversified engineering experience
  • Ability to show increasing responsibility for engineering components over time
  • Project management is a plus
  • Change management is a plus

 

Special Knowledge & Skills:

  • Effective written, visual and oral communication
  • Highly efficient/knowledgeable in MS Excel
  • Capable of interfacing with corporate staff, vendors, customers and employees
