Role Summary

This position is responsible to ensure and maintain a high level of support corresponding to the team leads in all activities of the department and ensure active participation in the daily business of his/her functional responsibilities. Need an analytical, well-educated, knowledgeable, experienced and motivated team-player with strong IT background, work ethics and integrity that will become a key part of IT-SAP Team to implement and provide adequate support for SAP BW & HANA Modelling. 

 

As the SAP BI expert, you will have the primary responsibility for the roll out of technical and functional aspects of the BW/HANA solutions. You will lead the planning, design, implementation and support of SAP BW and HANA Modelling solutions, using leading edge tools such as SAP BW, BW/4 HANA, Native HANA modeling, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) in large and complex environments of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC and non-SAP ERPs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with both business and technical stakeholders and a proven track record designing and implementing SAP BW powered by HANA and HANA Modelling.
  • Above all, the candidate should have the acumen to work closely with business stakeholders and building analytics solution for Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement and Logistics.
  • Hands-on experience with Native HANA data modeling, schema management, content import & export, data provisioning technology including SAP LT Replication Server, Data Services and Smart Data Integration (SDI).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Embedded analytics specifically with Core Data Services (CDS) views development technique will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP BW powered by HANA and BW/4 HANA features, among others, standard and custom SAP BW Extractors, complex transformations, advanced DSOs, composite providers, exposing BW models as HANA views, mixed (hybrid) scenarios, HANA Analysis process in BW and performance optimization concepts.
  • Experience with administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving technical problems arises from the technical development.
  • Hands-on experience with Smart Data Integration (SDI), SAP SLT replication and SAP Data Services ETL design to integrate SAP and non-SAP environments.
  • Experience with various SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) tools (WEBI and Lumira Design) development lifecycle with BW/4 HANA, Native HANA and S/4 HANA from design through implementation and production support.
  • Experience required with BW and Native HANA Security concepts including User Management, Roles, and Privileges.
  • Experience with BW on HANA technical migration, BW/4 HANA conversion and XSA development skills is added advantage.
  • Ability to write SQL Scripts, stored procedures and integrate them in the views.
  • Experience required with capturing and documenting non-functional requirements, interpreting non-technical requirements, defining the architecture, preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals.
  • Provide day-to-day SAP end-user support in the area of expertise.

  • Complete other duties as required by the Manager from time to time.

  • He/she ensures global support.

  • Support roll-out projects.
  • Ensures billing of his/her projects and changes.
  • Design practical, creative, conceptual technical solutions for business requirements balancing appropriate technology, cost and implementation timeline.
  • Develop and adhere to standards for design, coding, testing, change control, code deployment, software controls, configuration management, continuous integration, and trouble-shooting and root cause analysis of application problems.

Knowlege, Education & Work Experience

  • Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related technical Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Must have expertise in SAP BW on HANA with knowledge of front-end analytics tools.
  • Understanding of at least one of the functional modules in SAP like SD, MM, FI.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. Working knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Project management & coordination with divisions – follow up, periodic Review.
  • Familiar with ABAP debugging tool.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload.
  • Able to collaborate with users, and have a strong desire to excel.

  • Review and work up development requests & specs for ABAP programmers to develop customized functionality or reports to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in project management with technical competence in SAP.
  • SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes/Outlook experience.
  • Project and Time Management Skills.
  • Analytical and flexible approaches in the projects and coordination of available resources.
  • High external and internal service orientation, initiative, creativity, diligence, accuracy and social skills.

Work Environment

  • Overnight travel 10-25% of the time.
