Role Summary
Support flawless launches by developing new and unique data-driven system level solutions and key performance indicators from applications and databases in program management, sales, engineering and operations using creative analytical methods, visualization techniques, and positive feedback.
Key Responsibilities
We are building fully connected systems to achieve operational excellence and flawless launches – help us:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, development team, and other analysts to develop new and unique data-driven solutions, creative analytical methods, and data visualization techniques (Data Modeling etc.)
- Connect and build pipelines between various data sources
- Support operational improvement and business decision making through ad-hoc statistical analysis of curated enterprise data and self-constructed data sets
- Ability to support multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses
- Lead BI software development, deployment, and maintenance
- Document contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage
- Create technical documentation for BI tools
- Data model, develop, and publish KPI dashboards and metrics
- Respond to support requests from users about dashboards and metrics
- Develop, test and deploy within the PLM applications
- Work in devops to document and track development, test, and deployment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Act with honesty and integrity and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna’s Compliance Policies and Procedures
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to document steps in a process and make technology recommendations to improve the process
- Knowledgeable of statistical methods such as regression, probability analysis, risk analysis, statistical process control, and clustering is desired
- Implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models Data and business analysis background
- Strong experience with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle. NoSQL databases experience is a plus
- Experience with user-defined workflows
- Problem solver that is action-oriented with the ability to look at problems in new ways. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to design an effective solution
- Familiarity with BI technologies (ex., Microsoft Power BI, AWS Quicksight, Qlikview)
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages (ex: Python, R, JavaScript, C#, Java, etc.)
- Understanding of system performance for best responsiveness and user friendliness
- Existing experience in Aras, Siemens Teamcenter or willing to extend experience into PLM applications, code, and related databases.
- Familiar with infrastructure, VMs, Azure, AWS and related integration tools
- Experienced with code development and deployment through dev, QA, and production environments
- Enjoys working with a core team and through the organization
- Skilled in training and rollout of features, user stories, concepts to the organization using multiple modes of communication and training tools such as Articulate
