Mission of the Position

 

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for handling various administrative duties to support the Talent Acquisition team and leads the Student Program and associated recruitment for Magna Powertrain. These duties may include assisting with and proving support to the Manager and Talent Acquisition Specialists for recruiting efforts including but not limited to; sourcing, screening, coordinating and/or conducting interviews, creating and maintaining reports, forms, and various other documents utilized by the Talent Acquisition team.  

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and Administer the year round Student Program including full lifecycle technical recruitment, preparing new student equipment requests, track onboarding and off boarding of all students, administer and collect manager evaluations and student surveys, prepare term event calendars, and event coordination for each term.
  • Lead and manage event coordination for all career fairs including scheduling, compiling event information, and preparation/shipment of career fair materials working closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialists.  
  • Administer the Referral Program including maintaining tracker, pre-screening resumes, and following up with referral candidates, as well as track and initiate referral bonuses. 
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System for the Talent Acquisition Team including entering/maintaining/tracking candidate data in the system (SuccessFactors/PeopleNET+ or other).
  • Assist in writing job descriptions and recruitment advertisements, track, post, and maintain job postings on various internet sites and job boards.
  • Source, Screen, and Recruit technical talent as backup support to the Talent Acquisition Specialists as needed. 
  • Create and maintain standard reports and ad hoc queries in Excel as needed. 
  • Create and maintain forms and other documents as needed. 
  • Maintain and administer weekly reports (recruiting tracker, referral tracker, etc.). 
  • Identify areas of opportunity for more efficient processes or continuous improvement for the Talent Acquisition Team.

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of Recruiting or Student Program Coordination experience required
  • Technical recruitment experience (sourcing, screening, interviewing) strongly preferred. 
  • Experience reviewing resumes, identifying required skills and experience, and conducting phone screens.
  • Database, ATS or CRM software experience is required (SuccessFactors or similar) 
  • Experience with Office365 required, intermediate to advanced proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously 

Work Environment

 

15% travel required. 

While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
