POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Talent Attraction & Employer Branding Specialist will be focused on implementing effective, creative, results-driven talent attraction strategies that deliver a superior candidate experience.  Working collaboratively with the Talent Attraction & Employer Branding team this role will implement regional talent attraction tactical strategies for critical positions with seasoned experience.  Tactics include processes, metrics and systems for the team in the Americas that will drive the awareness and achievement of Magna's strategic objectives to attract critical talent to Magna.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Attraction / Employer Branding (80%)

  • Act as the talent attraction and employer branding Corporate contact for Magna in the Americas
  • Tactical execution of Employer Branding activities in alignment with the global Employer Brand strategy and employer value proposition (EVP)
  • Partner with Marketing and Communication teams to execute employer branding concepts, messaging, and taglines
  • Partner with Group Employer Brand Champions to provide insight and support the sustainment of our employer brand across divisions
  • Evaluate, research and benchmark Magna’s EVP and provide recommendations to enhance to maintain our competitive edge
  • Manage the vendor relationships with job boards and distribution channels in the America and measure source channel effectiveness for applications and hires
  • Monitor the employer review sites; maintain our Magna presence, provide quarterly summary and benchmarking of the perception of Magna based on reviews and ratings; provide timely responses to the comments when applicable
  • Conducts research into the latest techniques, tools, partnerships and practices for recruitment, talent attraction, employer branding, candidate experience and present recommendations
  • Embed diversity and inclusion into imagery, messaging, campaigns, and attraction programs for targeted talent segments
  • Maintain the employer brand image on magnacareers.com website 
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Talent Attraction & Employer Branding Specialist to engage with early talent / young professionals to deliver the plan for Magna’s student engagement strategy
  • Other tactical initiatives or priorities as assigned

 

Reporting & Metrics (20%)

  • Provide analysis and reporting of key performance indicators to drive effectiveness and recommendations on actions going forward  
  • Generate monthly job board billing chargeback reports for internal reimbursement
  • Create presentations that summarize key Talent Attraction initiatives, progress, accomplishments, gaps, and opportunities

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of talent, attraction, employer branding or recruitment marketing experience, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Superior analytical and reporting skills; ability to compile, develop and report on key metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related experience
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications
  • Experience and familiarity with social media channels from a business strategy / social recruiting perspective
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills
  • Effective and efficient time and project management skills
  • Familiarity with AI recruiting technology (nice to have)
  • Domestic and International business travel may be required of this position, within and outside of core working hours (0-5% annually)
