Mission of the Position

 

The Warranty Engineer Student will provide technical support, from an engineering perspective, in the resolution of field concerns. The Student is responsible to test and diagnose electrical components alone or at their working environment to get to the Root cause of issue reported.

Team Summary

 

The Warranty Team interacts with the different disciplines within the Magna Powertrain Driveline business to identify and drive effective root cause, corrective action, and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform Electrical tests & diagnostics in Sensors, Actuators and Modules in Bench and/or Vehicle.
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis and assistance in the resolution of customer concerns.
  • Review & Organize reports documented in the Warranty Management System (WMS).
  • Participate on and provide support for troubleshooting to ensure a focus on Pareto resolution of high priority customer concerns.

 

Expected Learning Outcomes:

  • Strong experience in troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Real time work experience to identify Root Cause of issues and their Corrective Actions implementations.
  • Global environment communication with Suppliers, Plant and Customer.

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school. 
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry
  • Results, Action Oriented

Environment

 

Office Environment; limited travel required. 


While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
