Sintesi del ruolo
The Director, Finance (Lighting) Europe & Asia is responsible for the review and evaluation of the financial results, the operating forecasts, and the annual statutory information, for the operating Lighting divisions in the Europe & Asia regions. This position will play a key role in the leadership of the business whilst delivering the overall agreed targets while working in close cooperation with the other management team members
Responsabilità principali
Lead the finance function for the region, ensuring the integrity of the accounting policies and standards, the financial governance of the company and the internal control environment.
Implements changes in Magna’s accounting policies and ensures existing Magna accounting policies are applied in the operating sub-groups.
Review the consolidated region and divisional financial results, monthly/quarterly/annually vs. the budget and forecast. Prepares quarterly forecasts and quarterly presentations to sub-group and global group management.
Improve ROFE, Free Cash Flow, cost reductions and other Key financial metrics.
Coordinates the annual business plan review and completes divisional and sub-group budgets.
Lead strategic projects involving cross-functional/regional teams and multi-plant scope.
Lead the strategic planning process and ensure it is continuously updated and aligned with the corporation.
Interface purchasing with finance, cost minimization, represent the Company with Suppliers.
Identifies foreign currency exposure by currency, formulates and implements foreign currency strategy with support of corporate Treasury where appropriate.
Identifies cross border inter-company transactions and formulates a transfer pricing mechanism and/or royalty agreement, prepares agreements, and coordinates to implement strategies.
Evaluates/advises on long-term impact of plans, programs, investments, divestitures, strategies and regulatory practices. Review of capital projects and quote capital for new programs.
Assists in financial due diligence procedures upon the purchase or sale of an operation.
Qualifiche/requisiti chiave
University degree (MBA or equivalent would be an asset) in Finance or Accounting, with a CPA/CA designation OR equivalent is preferred
7+ years financial management and leadership experience on a region basis or a group (business unit) of operations, gained within a complex, challenging international environment, preferably in the manufacturing/automotive industry
Significant experience and understanding of leading Global businesses
Expertise in financial control and reporting, financial planning, audit, compliance, treasury and cash management
Extensive experience in managing, developing, and motivating a professional organization; in complex business in terms of divisions, brands and distribution channels
