- Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification and/or Electrical mechanical Engineering Technology
- Minimum 5 years hands on experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Strong understanding of electrical controls
- PLC programing of ( Siemens, Allen-Bradly, Omron ) S7, RS Logix 500, Studio 5000, Factory Talk, CX1 Programmer
- Strong knowledge of HMI programing
- Good English (both written and verbal) communication skills
- Strong understanding with servo drive applications
- Knowledge and Understanding of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic fundamentals and principals
• Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)
• Experience with Labview is an asset
• Experience with troubleshooting robots
• Understanding of Vision systems ie. Keyence and Cognex
• Automotive experience is an asset
• Familiarity with Auto Cad Electrical
• Find root cause of down time contributors, bring forward solutions and implement with team
• Work with team to develop machine upgrades and reduce cycle time
• Provide support with PLC related issues
• Support design reviews with new program launches
• Share lessons learned with team and apply to new work cells
• Work closely with integrators during set up of new launches
• Forward thinking with predictive maintenance plan
• Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and position sensing devices
• Works in a safe manner and is familiar with Mytox’s policies and procedures
• Ensure our critical spare inventory with assigned equipment is in stock
• Must be able to work overtime when required and willing to help out when necessary as per customer demands
• Must be organized and clean up the area and equipment at the end of the shift
• Must be able to communicate issues/problems to lead hand, supervisor or manager
• Willing to modify work hours and shifts on short notice as required
• Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS
• Good organizational skills, ability to work well without supervision
• Attends training based on Mytox Internal Training Matrix
• Utilizes effective Housekeeping Practices
• Adheres to all Mytox safety rules and regulations
• Follows all applicable Mytox BOS procedures
• Develop procedures using Windows Office
• Update older machinery as required ie. PLC, HMI
• Work together with other departments to resolve issues as they arise
