QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

•    Five (5) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment 
•    Five (5) years hands on experience in a manufacturing environment 
•    Industrial Electrician/Mechanic License or other equivalent technical certification/diploma
•    Ability to manage and motivate experienced maintenance personnel
•    Strong interpersonal skills 
•    Understanding of robotic applications and programming
•    Well versed in a variety of production equipment (i.e. stamping presses, injection molding machines, welders robotics and general assembly)
•    Excellent knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principals
•    Understanding of PLC controlled equipment
•    Good understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance
•    Ability to prioritize breakdowns, rectify the problems with permanent solutions and minimize downtime
•    Be prepared to occasional after hours call-in and personnel delegation in crisis situations
•    Well-developed organizational and time management skills
•    Effective communication skills both oral and written
•    Fluency in English, both oral and written
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems 
•    Able to work with minimal supervision
•    Basic understanding of the computer
•    Must have ability to work well under pressure
 

MAIN DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES OF JOB:

•    Delegate and Supervise efficient utilization of labour and proper recording of such.
•    Communicate all pertinent company information to staff (Production Priorities etc.).
•    Participate in all personnel related issues.
•    Schedules, weekend coverage and break down follow up.
•    Communicate with group/Team Leaders effectively and in a timely manner.
•    Assist shift Mechanic and Electricians with troubleshooting as required.
•    Actively involved in design reviews and APQP meetings. 
•    Maintain critical spare parts inventory and order parts as required, follow up with Toolroom/Maintenance manager’s approval.
•    Work with Manager on capital spending for major press repairs, equipment upgrades and critical spare inventory. 
•    Contributes to performance appraisals, set yearly goals and worker’s safety performance.
•    Participate, encourage Continuous Improvements, and implement predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
•    Effectively schedules and performs preventative maintenance for equipment.
•    Conduct safety talks or training with the workers, and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
•    Hold weekly Top 5 meetings. Communicate lessons learned, share completed projects, team brainstorming, weekend planning, communicate any quality concerns with team etc….
•    Plan workload for summer and winter shutdowns
•    Support the internal employee suggestion program (TESS program)
•    Promote team atmosphere
•    Ensure new employees are trained 
•    Endorse and support all safety related issues.
•    Practice 5S and maintain good housekeeping at all times
•    Ensures that the maintenance dept. fix and return equipment control to production on time and in good running shape to support customer requirements
•    Day to day communication with production
•    Analyzes previous problems from historical data, to assist in faultfinding on-site
•    Comply with all Mytox IATF 16949 policies and procedures
•    Comply with all Mytox ISO14001 policies and procedures
•    Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
•    Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Mytox Employee Handbook
•    Any other reasonable request made by Management
