Role Summary

For our greenfield division MAGNA Body & Chassis Hungary (location Vecses, Hungary) we are looking for the Stamping Project Engineer, supporting new projects as well as press shop activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop production process, select proper equipment and calculate blank sizes
  • Analyze potential risks in process and develop action plan to reduce the risk
  • Approve die construction, production process and personnel calculation
  • Develop a plan for modification of diet accordingly
  • Develop technical documentation for serial production
  • Plan and participate in test production
  • Develop and implement improvement actions
  • Calculation, develop and implement engineering changes
  • Establish, monitor and control timeline planning
  • Prepare cycle-time analysis and/o
  • Prepare and maintain the required engineering and project documentation
  • Participate as required in all PFMEA and APQP iniciatives
  • Develop and maintain die set up sheets
  • Manage tool design, build, and change activities and timelines to meet established deliverables
  • Simulation and analysis for optimal stamping tooling design
  • Maintain and update tooling standards with lessons learned

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or comparable education
  • Over 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing environment in engineering or quality
  • Proficient in stamping process;
  • Very good knowladge of automotive industry standards
  • Practical knowledge of CAD systems (AUTOCAD, UG, Catia or equal)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. German and/or Hungarian language skills will be an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Able to work efficiently in a high demand environment
