Role Summary

To ensure proper staging of material at each Injection Molding Machine. To move finished molded and packed parts to staging are. Assist in all mold changes.

Key Responsibilities

•    Move Gaylords of raw material to correct drying hoppers.
•    Ensure the correct material is loaded in the correct press.
•    Ensure press operators have dunnage at work station.
•    Complete material changes on Injection Molding Presses (cleaning IMM loaders).
•    Assist in mold changes per production schedule (changing water lines, hydraulic line, hot runners, etc.).
•    Grind scrap parts ensuring the proper regarding is being mixed and same material type.
•    Organize and maintain 5s for all general material storage areas.
•    Organize and stock material supplies to meet production requirement and inventory control for injection molding.
•    Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
•    Ensure material received matches packing slip to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
•    Report discrepancies/damaged material immediately.
•    Responsible for all shipping/receiving paperwork.
•    Deliver material to production line as required.
•    Perform shift pre-inspections as outlined by OSHA on all material handling equipment.
•    Rotate all material to ensure 100% first-in, first-out (FIFO) per daily FIFO requirements.
•    Support plant-wide material organization and housekeeping goals
•    Observe and report maintenance issues on forklift, including shift assessments.
•    Maintain forklift certification and attended updated training, as needed.
•    Perform cycle counts, as required.
•    Assist with crane, as required.
•    Update receiving log for every shipment.
•    Other duties, as assigned.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge and Education:
•    High school diploma or GED is required.
•    Must be forklift certified.


Work Experience
•    Minimum 2 years relevant work experience preferred.
•    Self-motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

•    Accountability of supervisors for enforcing safety rules and implementing the necessary training and corrective actions to ensure proper focus on established objectives.

Physical Demands
•    Normal amount of sitting
•    May be required to stand in excess of 6 hours
•    May be required to lift, push and/or pull 60 pounds
•    Average mobility to move around a manufacturing environment
•    Able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer
•    May require travel
